Minnesota is promoting programs to reduce the risks to water quality from Ag practices. The MN Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program implementation and incorporating water quality into the Drainage Manual are two examples. Darrell Gerber, Freshwater Society, will discuss barriers Freshwater Society found to increased effectiveness of voluntary agricultural conservation program. He will also outline the steps that need to be taken to address the barriers.
